After three years of happy beer brewing I'm trying my first batch of real wine. (I won't count the several "prison-wine" experiments fermenting random foodstuffs from Giant).

I bought 6 gallons of Malbec juice from the Montgomeryville store. 2 weeks in primary. 2 weeks so far in secondary.

How long do you recommend I leave it in secondary before racking it again or bottling?

Against my primal instincts I will let this age a year or two in bottles before mass consumption.

Side note - When I racked it to secondary it had a really bold Malbec-y taste. After a small taste test tonight it is pretty thin and much less interesting. Is this normal?? I assume its just a young wine thing, but I'm a total noob to wine.

Thanks!
